Booking and Payment terms, Trip cancellation and Refund policy
We quote our prices in United Sates dollars and must be paid in United States dollars or its equivalent.
20 - 30% deposit is required upon booking confirmation to enable us log in the trip and begin on the necessary reservations. Balances are payable between 30 - 60days prior to departure. Currently, payments are accepted via Bank wire transfer, Card payments / online payments or cash upon arrival. 20% deposit of your total trip price is non-refundable.
Cash payments may be allowed upon arrival and USD cash notes MUST be in perfect conditions without any ink marks, dirt, and stamps or tear. Only 2017 series to the current series notes are acceptable. Any other currency preferred by the client must be the
equivalent of the US dollars quoted in accordance with the current local market exchange rate.
Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Golden Monkey trekking permits are confirmed upon cash payment and the fees are NON-REFUNDABLE., but may be rescheduled.
All taxes, service charges and VAT while at destinations are included
Once the tour begins attracts no refund. 75% charge applies for cancellation within 30 - 7days notice to the beginning of the tour. No refunds for NO SHOW or once the tour begins. No partial refund is guaranteed 7days prior to departure.
We strongly recommend that you consider a plan to help protect your trip investment. Travel insurance helps to cover; unexpected events prior to departure causing the need to cancel or change your dates, weather events or local strikes, pandemic outbreaks, wars
etc.; causing interruption or changes to your itinerary, missed connections, delayed arrival, lost/delayed baggage and medical or evacuation coverage…
Although we may do our best to adhere to the itinerary schedules, we reserve the right to cancel, change the program’s dates, or delay the trip before departure for numerous reasons beyond our control such as force majeure. This may be as a result of flight schedule changes or delays due bad weather, road or trail conditions, participants’ logistical issues, wars, local rebellions, health threats or sickness, government intervention, or any other circumstances that may make the operation of the trip not recommended. In such cases, the right is reserved to substitute hotels, lodges, or camps of similar category for those indicated. To the limit of our liability, we do not guarantee that the costs incurred will be refunded. Budget Birding Africa Ltd is not responsible for any losses incurred by trip participants in preparing for the trip or during the tour, in cases of theft or loss of own equipment, airline tickets, money, jewelry, special clothing, passports, or any other personal property.

To consider a trip with us, one should be reasonably in good health. A high level of physical fitness is required for trips that involve treks. In some acute situations, the guide or your tour leader reserves the right to disqualify any participant on tour at any time if the participant is physically incapable or poses a threat to the other group members or the wildlife around. No refund is guaranteed under such circumstances.
Budget Birding Africa Ltd and its partners, agents or employees give notice that they act only as agents for the owners, contractors, and suppliers providing tour and travel services that include transportation, guiding, accommodation bookings, or any other service related to tour and travel business and assume no responsibility whatsoever caused for loss resulting from their terms and conditions, injury, or damage to any person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from natural causes, strikes, thefts, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, pilferage, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control.
